Yeah the meat looks pretty good considering how much spawning he's probably done.....so I'm marinating a slab right now.

That thing is a tule. Look at the bill! Smoker fodder at best.... Oh...and tail snagging dos not count as fishing.
It actually was ok, cut well and tasted good........ .
And that's a little blood coming out the gills, where the hook still is...... hidden behind the lip :-).
