To be honest, when you said "gun" I scoured the rocks in the picture for a 30-30.
Simba appropriately is 8', but in this part of the world a 30-30 would look fine too.
25 years ago my friend's dog chased a deer into the water at that very corner and the deer waslast seen heading west into a beauty of a 6' swell groomed by a soft easterly.......
Not to drag this on, but that reminds me of what it was like for me to come into the PNW as an experienced surfer form the bustle of the SE. Went from dodging homeless at the stop lights, and angry Cubans on the causeway, to dodging fallen old growth trees, and herds of Elk.
Hmm...maybe this "comment" belongs in my own damn blog....
